A note from the founder
I never set out to start a cleaning brand. I'd spent years designing our home - right down to the laundry - and then there was a bright blue plastic box sitting on the shelf undoing all of it.
Every option I could find asked me to choose: something that looked good, something that actually worked, or something I felt comfortable using around my three kids. I didn't want to choose.
So my husband and I built Home & Laundry ourselves, around school runs and family life, teaching ourselves everything as we went. Pods and sheets made with plant-based ingredients, formulated without phosphates, optical brighteners, synthetic fragrances, parabens or bleach, in packaging you'd happily leave on the bench.
But the first test is always the same one: does it clean properly? If it doesn't do the job, none of the rest matters. That was the standard on day one and it hasn't moved since.

Most cleaner dish products ask you to accept a tradeoff: better ingredients, worse results. We weren't willing to make that trade. These are pods, not sheets, because pods carry the concentration needed to cut through baked-on grease, dried sauce and tea stains in a normal cycle. No pre-scrubbing, no second run.

They shouldn't. The pod is designed to dissolve completely and rinse away clean, which is the difference between a detergent that leaves and one that lingers.
If you do see cloudiness, it's almost always hard water rather than the detergent. Running a rinse aid, or a monthly empty cycle with a dishwasher cleaner, clears it in most homes. If it doesn't, email us at support@homeandlaundry.com and we'll sort it out.
